Ok. Here are a few new pictures. Mom only had the camera for a while, and I wasn't real happy about her taking my picture!
We had a wonderful trip to Temple on the 4th of July weekend! I got to see people I hadn't seen since I was just about a month old! We had great barbeque with my Meemaw (even though Mom wouldn't let Jody feed me any!). It was Meemaw's 90th birthday! Happy Birthday, Meemaw!!!! Nana and Papa tried to spoil me so Mommy and Daddy didn't want me, but it just didn't happen!
I am looking forward to Grandma and Grandad's visit this weekend. They are going to try and spoil me enough so I'll go home with them! Mommy says they can't do it -- she just loves me toooo much! :-) Mommy is going to Taos tomorrow and it will be the first time that we have been separated over night. Mommy keeps hugging me and telling me how much she is going to miss me!
Oh! I almost forgot the vital statistics part! I now weigh right around 19 pounds and am 28 inches long. I grew one whole inch in three weeks! I am rolling all over the place and am trying to crawl -- but I wind up going backwards! I say "da" and "mama" and boy, do they come running when I call! I love my exersaucer my Aunt Shari has lent me. I guess we'll have to give it back soon for my new soon-to-be cousin to play with!
I love you all and miss you very much. Thanks so much for looking at my page!!!
Love,

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to my page! I am looking forward to a visit to Nana and Papa's this weekend. YEA! I get to get spoiled!! Mommy is planning a trip to the store at least once for some new shoes for me. I seem to have outgrown my other shoes!
We had a wonderful time at Grandma and Grandad's last weekend. We went to a fish fry where Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let me try the fish. Saturday night we went to a Midland Rockhound's game thanks to Uncle Rick! We watched the game and Juice the Moose mascot came and held me a while. I was okay with it for a bit, then decided to get scared. We watched Midland win against El Paso and I got to be held by everyone, including Aunt Geta and Uncle Rick. We had lots of fun. Sunday of course we went to church where everyone oohed and ahed over how big I was. Sunday night I got to sit in on Grandad's pew packers and sing songs. It was fun, but Mommy was funny -- she didn't know all the songs Grandad led. She claimed they sing songs differently in West Texas. Daddy and I don't know about that!
I say dada and mama (when I'm mad!) and am learning how to wave bye-bye. Daddy thinks I'll be able to do that by the end of this week. I am almost crawling, too. I am getting up on my knees and rocking, but even though Mommy has tried to show me, I just can't quite figure out how to move one leg at a time. I have devised a way to get where I want though -- if I'm sitting, I scoot to where I want to go. I can go forwards and backwards, and of course I can turn myself around. I also roll all over the place. Oh! One other neat thing I can do is put my pacifier in my mouth all by myself. I surprised Daddy the first time I did it. I am always very proud of myself when I do that!
Mommy is staying home with me now, and I'm slowly getting used to it. Tomorrow is our first day at Tell Me Time, and I'll get to see my friend Morgan and make new friends. I am excited about that! There will be lots of babies to make friends with at Tell Me Time.
Mommy thinks I weigh about 22 pounds now and am right around 29 inches long. My bouncy seat has a tendency to lie backwards now when I sit in it. I guess I just weigh too much!
Here are a few new pictures. I hope you enjoy them. I didn't particularly enjoy Mommy taking them!
Love to everyone!!!

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to my page!
I am headed to Midland this weekend to help celebrate Daddy's #32! I am looking forward to a good visit with Grandma and Grandad (can I get spoiled??), and hopefully see Uncle Rick and Aunt Geta. I am really excited about swinging in my swing, Grandad! Hope you have your muscles built up so you can push me!
I now weigh right around 23 pounds and am close to 29 inches tall. My new trick is CRAWLING! I finally figured it out on Monday and boy, can I go! Mom calls it the dead-leg crawl -- I actually crawl with my arms and right leg, while dragging my left leg behind me. It's amazing how fast I can go -- or at least that's what Mom says. This morning, she and Daddy had trouble finding me after leaving me in the sunroom alone a minute. I saw the remote control hidden on the floor between the sofa and end table, so I thought I would be helpful and get it for Mommy and Daddy. Only trouble is, I got stuck and couldn't figure out how to get back out. I yelled a minute until Mommy found me, then she made me stay there until Daddy found me and she videotaped me! How frustrating!! Mommy and I have started working in the yard in the afternoons, and I enjoy being in my walker on our concrete driveway. I love being outside, as you can see from the pictures below!
Well, I had better go eat some dinner. It's church night, after all, and Grandma Edith is waiting to spoil me. You see, my wonderful grandparents -- I have grandparents here in Carlsbad, too, who spoil me! Nothing like getting a little attention!
Love to everyone!!!

Dear family and friends,
Well, we've had a very busy month around here. We made a rushed trip to Temple where Nana and Papa live for my Meemaw's funeral. She passed away suddenly on November 3rd at age 90. I loved my Meemaw and am really going to miss her. We then went back to Temple for my Great-Grandpa Billeck's 100th Birthday Party on November 20th. We flew down to Austin in a big plane. It was cool looking at the lights outside the plane! I had a lot of fun meeting cousins I had never met before. We also went to Papa's ranch while we were there and I got to pet Papa's horses and even tried to ride Cookie, Papa's shetlyn pony. She didn't like it a bit, though, so Papa said, "Next time, Cowboy!" I can't wait to take him up on that offer. We also drove around the ranch and found the cows. Boy, are they big! I didn't try to pet any of them!
On Wednesday we flew back to Midland and spent Thanksgiving with Grandma and Granddad Mitchell. And GRAN-GRAN was there, too! She's my Grandma's mom. She is so much fun! Aunt Emily was there and Uncle Rick and Aunt Geta brought by Jayden, their very fluffy puppy dog. Jayden thought I was funny, and I thought he was pretty funny, too. We had lots of fun at Grandma's -- even got to swing in my swing.
I am still about 23 pounds, but now I wear 18 month clothes because I've grown so tall. I have all kinds of new clothes from Matt and Austin now! Mommy says she couldn't afford to clothe me without Aunt Shari and Aunt Audra's help! I am crawling now and wave bye-bye. I also have learned how to clap and like to do that when I think Mommy's about to tell me "NO, Alex!" I have learned how to crawl through the chair rungs that are "protecting" the ficus tree and the floor lamp, so I can still play with them! Mommy and Daddy don't like that! In all, Mommy says I'm pretty cute and too smart for my own good.
I hope everyone enjoys seeing my updated pictures. Mommy said to tell you she's sorry she hasn't updated them in sooo long, but after reading the first paragraph, she hopes you understand. Hugs and kisses to all my friends out there!
Love,
Alex
It's hard to believe we are in a new century! I am excited about the possibilities of growing up in this exciting time.
I've been very busy since my last letter. I had my first birthday!! Mommy and Daddy had a party for me at our house, and both sets of my grandparents drove in for the party. It was a lot of fun and Mommy said I got toooo many toys! I now have toy "boxes" in three rooms! But they are so much fun. I really love playing with the big truck mommy's Internet friend Tracy sent me. Tracy and her son Kenny were my secret birthday pal. They sent me cards all the time over the Internet! It was great!
I am walking around furniture now and am trying to take steps by myself. I just don't feel real comfortable with the balance yet. I use the walking toy Grandma and Grandad gave me for Christmas all the time. Just Monday I used it all by myself to walk from the couch to the tv! Mommy was so surprised!
Well, I had better get these pictures up. I hope you enjoy my new school pictures. The photographer was a lot of fun. Mommy thinks the pictures turned out really well.
Hugs to everyone!
Love,
Alex
Hi, everyone!
Welcome back to my homepage! I'm so glad you stopped in for a visit. Since you're here, let me tell you what's happening around my house.
Mommy says I'm talking up a storm. I chatter all the time when I'm awake. Sometimes she says I make sense, then other times she wishes she understood what I was saying! She'll learn my language eventually. I'm now loving Gerber graduate foods. I didn't really like the apples Mom bought, but I love the meat sticks. Of course, I'm a meat and potatoes sort of guy, too! I now have four teeth to munch on all that food with. I'm still learning how to make them work together, though.
My newest trick you'll see on my new picture page (link is below) is I can climb up on the big couches in our sun room now without any help at all. I just hike my right leg up, and up I go. Since I've learned how to do that, I like to climb on everything! I've even climbed in a drawer in our bathroom! It's a lot of fun to get into things Mommy doesn't thing I should be able to reach. I love surprising her! I am still just walking around furniture, but I do walk down our hall quite often just "holding" onto the wall. I love to do that! Mommy says it won't be long till I take off on my own. I stand all by myself, I just don't have the courage to take those steps!
Mommy and I are heading to Temple via Midland to visit all the grandparents tomorrow! I can hardly wait to be spoiled rotten. Mommy's dreading the trip just because she's afraid I'll be a monster when we get back. heehee I'm really going to miss Daddy and waking him up in the mornings. This is the first time I've been away from Daddy since I was five weeks old. I do love my Daddy. As a matter of fact, Dada is my favorite word -- well, next to "hot"!
Well, I better get my nap so Mommy can finish laundry and get us packed. It's been nice chatting with you and I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures. Just for fun...look at my newborn pictures and see how much I've changed!
I love you all!
Hugs to everyone!
Love,
Alex
Hi, everyone!
So glad you stopped in again. I'm sorry Mama hasn't updated my website lately. You know, I've been on her to get busy with it, but she just won't listen!
We've had a busy couple of months since I last wrote. We went to Taos, New Mexico in April and had a great time. Below is a link to some of those pictures. I really enjoyed spending all the extra time with Daddy when Mama had to go to her conference! We have also made another trip to Temple to see my Uncle Jonathan graduate from high school. Mama said she didn't know if it would happen or not! heehee I don't have pictures of that trip yet, but they'll be here soon!
I've not had a good month in June. I was hospitalized two weeks ago because of dehydration due to a nasty stomach bug called Rotavirus. It really made me sick in a hurry, so Mama and Daddy took me to the Emergency Room. And this was after a trip to the ER just three days earlier because I had fallen off Mama and Daddy's bed and had a concussion! The doctor kept me in the hospital until Thursday (I went in on a Monday night) and, boy, was I glad to be HOME! No more nurses poking on me! While in the hospital they disccovered I have a bacterial imbalance with the c. diff bacteria in my intestines. So they tried to treat it last week. Mama isn't happy with my treatment, so we are driving to Temple tomorrow to visit Nana and Papa and see a doctor at Scott and White Children's Clinic. I don't think I'm too happy about that! But I am ready to get well...I've been sick far too long, Mama says!
I am now walking quite a bit. I'm still not JUST walking since crawling really gets me there faster, but I am getting my confidence up! I can name people in pictures now, too! My favorite is to look at a picture of my Papa Billeck and say, "Papa!" Of course, my first answer when Mama asks, "Who is that?" is "Dada!" I just know that's going to be correct one of these days! I still ask "Who's that?" and "What's that?" all the time and my favorite foods are now bananas and yogurt. YUM! I have given up the pacifier AND the bottle all on my own. Mama said she is sooo proud of me for doing that!
Well, I had better go help Mama pack (well, really I'm better at unpacking!). Thanks so much to all of you for your prayers for me while I've been so sick. I know God is listening!!
Love you all!
Alex
Hi, everyone!
Well, I finally talked Mama into getting busy with my website. She says I'm just taking up so much of her time now, she doesn't have time to get anything done! I'm just busy learning and doing. And you can't learn without doing things!
We came back from Temple with wonderful news. I did NOT have the bacterial imbalance the doctors here said I had. Mama was just giving me too much fruit juice and sugar. Silly Mama. Since then, she's noticed if I've had to much sugar I have digestive problems and shake a bit. I'm disappointed because I really like sweet stuff!
I've been very busy learning this past month. I am learning on average 2 words a day right now and my voacabulary is around 40 words now. I'm also putting phrases together like, "Wanna go outside!" I would spend all my time outside if I could. And it's even better outside now because Daddy and our next door neighbor "Uncle" Mike built me a swing!! Grandad Mitchell financed the project, or I would still be swing-less! I don't have any pictures developed yet, but Mama says in the next month she'll have pictures up. I also have a little swimming pool that I like to stand in and throw my balls into. I also like to play in the water sprinkler while Mama is watering the yard. Nana and Papa are also bringing up a sandbox sometime this month. It's just so much fun to watch the birds and look at the trees!
I also LOVE to read. I always sit in Mama or Daddy's lap when I want to be read, too. My favorite book is, "Look out Mr. Rabbit." I also like my pizza book (tizza) that shows us how to make pizza!
Grandma and Grandad came over last week and Grandad said, "You are always moving, aren't you, Alex?" And I am! I always have something to explore or do! You can't learn without exploring and getting into things! Of course, I hear, "NO!" alot...so I usually just help Mama and Daddy by saying, "no" before I touch something that is a no-no. :-)
Well, thanks for stopping in. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
Love you all!
Alex
