Hi, one and all! Thanks for stopping by my website for Christmas greetings!

Well, it's been a busy year in the Mitchell house. I turned TWO this year and am about to turn THREE. Mommy says I'm getting too big too fast! Hmm. I don't think so! What all am I doing now, you ask? Well, let me tell you! I can count to oh, 15 or so, I know all my shapes, colors, and letters and LOVE to tell Mommy what letters are on billboards, the TV, and anything else I can find! Mommy says I'm going to be reading soon with how I love to talk about letters! I love to play on the computer, too. I have a lot of neat games. Daddy's afraid I'm going to turn into a computer geek like Mommy. And what's wrong with that, I ask? During the summer I lived outside in my backyard. I have a big swing set and learned how to swing on the big boy swing! It was so much fun! I still beg to go outside on warm days! I also love my sandbox. Daddy showed me how to wet the sand down, so then I was always wanting to have wet sand. You just can't build castles with dry sand!

This summer was sad when I lost two of my best friends...Matthew and Morgan Garner. Their mommy and daddy got jobs in Keller, TX, so they moved a long ways away. I was so happy to go visit them a few weeks after they moved and see their new house. They are happy there, so I suppose I'm happy for them...but I sure miss them. A couple of months after they moved, I made two new friends when our church hired a new youth minister! Nick is a year older than me and Isabell is a year younger and we have a blast together. I'm so glad they moved to Carlsbad and hope they stay a long, long time! I also have a new friend Charlyn. Well, technically she's not a "new" friend, but I've gotten to know her better because now I go to her house almost every Thursday! We have so much fun playing with her blocks and doing fun things with her little brother Sarron. I sometimes wish Mommy would work more days than just Thursday because I love having a playmate. But then I do like being able to stay home with Mommy, too. On other days I make Mommy play with me since I don't have a playmate. Is that too much to ask??

Mommy is very busy with her new business. Daddy and I were so pleased when Mommy was honored as September Mompreneur of the Month by iVillage.com! She said her business really took off when she got that award. I believe her because she's always telling me she has to work now. I get mad and pull her away from the computer pretty often, though, to remind her who's most important.

Daddy is busy with his work and is getting ready to take his architect licensing exam! Mommy almost started crying when she saw he was eligible to take the exam. I just don't understand Moms sometimes! Daddy's started studying for the exam and he worked on a project this summer at Connie's. He took me to Connie's house and she has FISH in a big pond! I keep asking Daddy if I can go back. I love that place! Daddy's so much fun to play with. He's great entertainment in the evenings and on weekends. And Fridays are really special because he only works in the morning. Then we have the whole afternoon to play together!!

Mommy found out this week that I'm enrolled in the new Jefferson Montessori Academy for kindergarten. She's so excited. I just don't get it...it's just school. She explained to me that Montessori education is a special style of teaching that she thinks I'll really learn with. I think I'm pretty smart already and don't need a special school for that! She's even joining the parent council already to make sure the school succeeds. It's a charter school and since I can't go for another three years, she wants to make sure it's still here when it's time! Weird Mom. She got all teary-eyed about that, too. Sheesh.

Well, thanks for dropping in and reading about our year. We had a great year and are looking forward to 2002. We pray that you had a good year and 2002 is even more blessed!

Love and hugs!
